![]() ![]() ![]() And the offloading of CPU is cool if you have a big session or older machine. I only tried ones that my buddy also had native versions of. One last thing, I love the stability of the UAD software, I never had instability issues, it just always works! I'm on Windows 10, which is not officially supported, and it's rock solid! I also have plugins from Softube, Acon Digital, Fabfilter and Cytomic, to name some of my favorite native plugin companies. I'm not saying there are no great native developers though. ![]() I consider the UA devs as a very talented team of experts in the field, often setting the bar for other developers. I also am very happy with their reverbs and tape emulations.īeing able to track realtime trough their 1073 preamp emulation, or the API channel for example with their Apollo line is also fantastic. For example, I think their emulations of the 1176, LA-2A, Pultec, Fairchild, Massive Passive, Vari-MU and API channel and eq's are the best out there. For me, the strength of the UAD platform is their own developed plugins. The 3th party plugins that are also available as native plugins should sound the same (and they do) so that's no surprise. I use both UAD and native plugins in my projects. ![]()
